Happy 2025!

Kia ora everyone!

As we head into 2025 there has been a surge of interest on the website with several sets spiking in demand. I wanted to put out an update and answer some FAQs that have been coming in lately. It’s been over a year since the last update - oops, how time flies…

Rest assured that we are fulfilling all orders that are coming in and everything listed on the website is still in stock. I have taken down the 151 feature page and restored the Celebrations feature page with most of the singles removed.

While we do still have a large inventory of singles from before XY through to late SWSH, it is currently too time consuming to maintain and list that inventory on the website. I would highly recommend using the Fetch app where we have a few singles listed, and plenty more singles listed by other users in NZ.

Do you have any Prismatic Evolutions? No, sorry, our allocation was extremely low and we do not have any Prismatic Evolutions product for sale at this time. I do expect a restock will come in at some point and we will endeavour to bring in as much as possible to make available.

Are you taking preorders? We may resume limited preorders at some point but as we just saw with Surging Sparks and Prismatic Evolutions, supply and demand remain unpredictable. In 2024 we went from having sets being available at distribution several months after release to every set booster now being sold out.

What about Japanese sets? The market in Japan has improved but I am still hesitant to support a market that continues to resell boxes at such a markup at the source, costs which would be passed on to our customers. There is also a much higher risk than there used to be of fraudulent product. We will try to bring in product when we see it available at more reasonable prices for Terastal Festival ex, Battle Partners, and The Glory of Team Rocket sets.

What is happening with the website? I am starting a new career in teaching this year and Collect All Day will remain an extension of my hobby collecting Pokemon rather than a full time job. There is still an extensive backlog of inventory waiting to be re-listed on the website and I will continue to focus on bringing in main set boosters and specialty set releases for Pokemon. As Pokemon nears it’s 30th anniversary in 2026, that will mark CAD’s 10th anniversary having started in late 2016 (with Generations bringing me back into the hobby). I have no plans to stop at this time.
